Shaped by years of personal growth, Sarah’s work champions resilience and authenticity. She believes that colour and art has the power to shift energy, to heal, uplift, and remind us that creativity belongs in everyday life.
Sarah is an Australian mixed media artist based in the Albury Wodonga region of NSW. Known for her colourful abstract art and love of texture, Sarah creates original paintings, art prints and functional pieces designed to bring colour, personality and joy into everyday life.
Colour, Texture & Intuitive Art
Working from her home studio, Sarah creates intuitively, allowing colour, texture and form to guide each piece.
Her mixed-media practice is inspired by the landscapes and nature around her, along with colour combinations, textures and the unexpected details found in everyday life. From vibrant abstract paintings to macrame pieces, experimentation is an important part of her work.
Rather than beginning with a rigid plan, Sarah allows each artwork to develop organically. Layers are added, changed and sometimes completely reworked until the piece feels right. It means every original artwork has its own personality and no two pieces are ever quite the same.
Creativity Has Always Been Part of the Story
Creativity has always been in Sarah’s DNA.
Growing up as the middle child in a busy family of five children, home was filled with colour, imagination, half-finished projects and everyday objects that somehow became treasures.
Her mum had a natural eye for design, expressed through sewing, decorating and gardening. Her dad was endlessly curious and hands-on, creating furniture and keepsakes using skills passed down through generations.
Together, her parents encouraged Sarah to explore ideas, learn new techniques and keep going when things became messy or uncertain. Imagination and resourcefulness became part of everyday life, along with the belief that beautiful things could be created by hand and heart.
Art, Resilience & Finding Beauty
Losing both of her parents far too young reshaped Sarah’s understanding of resilience, love and purpose.
Art became a way of remaining connected to them and to the creativity they encouraged throughout her life. Their influence continues through the colour, curiosity and joy found in her work.
Every piece carries a little of that spirit; inventive, thoughtful and full of heart.
For Sarah, creating is also a reminder that even when life changes unexpectedly, there can still be colour, beauty and possibility waiting to be found.
